Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

Tune Tribe cares about your family’s privacy. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who sees it, and what rights you have. We write it to follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules.

1. Who is responsible

Tune Tribe (a sole proprietorship owned by Sankalp Pandey) decides why and how your information is used. The law calls this a “Data Fiduciary”.

Privacy contact: Manaal Khan, manaal.khan@tunetribe.studio, +91 95663 04603.

2. Children’s information

  • Most of our students are children. The law treats everyone under 18 as a child.

  • We collect a child’s information only from a parent or legal guardian, and only with the parent’s consent.

  • Our website is for parents. We do not knowingly collect information from children through it.

  • We do not track children’s behaviour online. Our online ads are meant for parents, not children.

3. What we collect

  • You visit our website

    • What we collect: Once we set up Google Analytics and Google Ads, they will collect device and browser details, pages viewed and how you found us (through cookies, see section 7)

    • Where it is kept: Google Analytics and Google Ads, once set up

  • You message us on WhatsApp or phone

    • What we collect: Your name, number and message. We use WhatsApp to talk to parents. We do not keep records outside the chat itself.

    • What we collect: Parent’s name, student’s name, class chosen, WhatsApp number

    • Where it is kept: Zoho Forms, Zoho Books (customer record), and our CRM

  • You pay

    • What we collect: Invoice and payment records. Card or UPI details are handled by Zoho Payments. We never see or store card numbers. Cash payments are recorded by us in Zoho Books.

    • Where it is kept: Zoho

    • What we collect: Photos and videos. We post them only after the parent says yes.

    • Where it is kept: Our phones, and our website and social media if posted

We do not ask for health records. If you tell us about a cold or a throat problem, or an absence is due to sickness, we note it only so we can teach safely and plan compensation classes.

4. Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and book a free vocal consultation.

  • To register your child and run classes.

  • To keep attendance and plan compensation classes.

  • To send invoices, receipts and payment reminders.

  • To send you WhatsApp messages about registration, classes and progress, including class reminders, and to call you about your child’s progress.

  • To improve our website and measure how well our ads work.

  • To follow the law, for example for tax and accounts.

We use your information only for these reasons. We do not send marketing messages. If that ever changes, we will ask you first.

5. Consent

  • A parent gives consent when they register their child, after we send them our Terms and this Privacy Policy. We send the links on WhatsApp, together with the registration form, before we collect any details.

  • Photo and video consent is asked separately, the first time we post. That yes covers future posts too, until you take it back. We ask on WhatsApp and keep the reply.

  • You can take back your consent at any time by messaging Manaal or Sankalp. Some information is needed to run your child’s classes, such as their name, attendance and your contact number. If you ask us to stop using it, we cannot keep teaching your child.

6. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run Tune Tribe:

  • Zoho (forms, invoices, payments and our CRM, Zoho Bigin)

  • WhatsApp (Meta), for messages

  • Google, for website analytics, ads and the map on our Contact page

  • Framer, for our website

  • ClickUp, for tracking enquiries and students

  • Supabase and Vercel, which host our attendance tool

They may use your information only to provide their service to us. We may also share information if the law requires it. We never sell your information. Some of these providers may store information outside India.

7. Cookies and tracking

  • A cookie is a small file that a website saves on your phone or computer.

  • We plan to use cookies from Google Analytics and Google Ads to count visits and to measure our ads.

  • Before we do, we will ask for your consent. You can say no and still use our website. You can also block cookies in your browser settings.

  • Our Contact page shows a Google map. When the map loads, Google may set its own cookies and collect details such as your IP address and device. Google’s privacy policy explains how it uses them.

  • We do not use these tools to track children. Our ads are for parents.

8. How long we keep it

  • Attendance records: while the student is with us, and 12 months after they leave.

  • Website analytics: up to 14 months.

When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove anything that could identify you.

9. Keeping it safe

Only the people who need it can see your information. Our tools need a login. If there is a data breach that affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India, as the law requires.

10. Your rights

You, or a parent for a child, can:

  • ask what information we hold and how we use it

  • ask us to correct it

  • ask us to delete it, unless the law says we must keep it

  • take back your consent

  • name someone to act for you

  • make a complaint

To do any of these, contact Manaal or Sankalp. We will reply within 7 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
